I’ve been lucky enough to have my published singles played multiple times on BBC Radio Leeds and BBC Radio 6 Music as well as on a simulcast across all 40 BBC local radio stations. I’ve also done live sessions at various radio stations.
Back in January 2019, I did my first ever radio interview and performance session, at Bradford Community Broadcasting. I was really, really nervous and you can hear it in my voice when I sang live in the studio.
In July I was invited to Bradford Royal Infirmary's Radio Royal, performing live acoustically and being interviewed about my life and music. I was starting to gain confidence by now.
For a few days starting on BBC Music Day 2019, Kenny Allstar and a team from BBC Radio 1Xtra came up to Bradford University Students Union to collaborate with Radio Leeds on the pop-up radio station project Bradford 1Xtra. I was invited to come over and meet the team and chat with Kofi Smiles.
In September I made a live appearance on Drystone Radio with Marky Smith on his Introducing Show, but I don't have a useable podcast. I'm getting more confident with every radio show, as I hope came across when I revisited BCB Radio 106.6FM for a second Yorkshire Music Collective show.
I was thrilled and amazed to be invited as guest artist on BBC Introducing in West Yorkshire on Radio Leeds on Saturday 21 September, in the run-up to my performance on BBC Music Day.
And Gayle Lofthouse invited me to take part in her afternoon show on Radio Leeds on Tuesday 24 September, to reveal more about the BBC Music Day plans.
